US FIRST robotics is first about competition-the brightest high school students in the country going head to head in robotics competitions. But at its core, it is about education. This year competitors in FIRST events will be vying for over $16 million in scholarships, with almost every applicant qualifying for some financial aid.
The Pitt Pirates, from Winterville, NC, were the cream of the crop at last weekends US FIRST North Carolina regional competition. The Pirates grabbed the Regional Chairman’s Award and the Industrial Safety Award, and they will be travelling to St. Louis in April for the national championships. Congratulations!

First brings their regional road show to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh this week for the N.C. regional championships. Set up begins today and the finals will be on Saturday. See you there.
